THEYA Healthcare is an Irish manufacturing company, founded by entrepreneur Ciara Donlon, which began trading in 2015. Theya Healthcare creates unique bamboo underwear for women after surgery, that physically and emotionally soothes and heals. Patient well-being is at the very centre of our design process. We combine input from patients with insight from the medical community to create garments that encourage healing and respond perfectly to the needs of the wearer.
Products and Services
THEYA Healthcare’s flagship range of post surgery bras and briefs was primarily designed for use by women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. The seam, tag and wire free design of the product offers a new level of comfort to patients. The unique bamboo mix fabric used in the range has been independently tested by UCD School of Engineering and has proven to be highly anti-bacterial as well having better wicking and absorbency than 100% cotton. In a clinical trial on patient experience, THEYA Healthcare’s range of post surgery bras significantly outperformed competing products in particular in relation to Body Image, Quality of Life and Pain Levels.
